5 Tips to spring clean your life


Happy Spring!

Just as the flowers are starting to blossom in spring, this is your time to bloom. Spring is the perfect season to take action before the close of the year. But to make space for the new, you need to get rid of the old.

Here are 5 tips to SPRING CLEAN YOUR LIFE:

1. Get rid of negative thinking

Flowers need pruning to blossom, and just like flowers, we also need cut off dead branches and remove weeds from our lives. One of the areas we need to ‘prune’ is our thinking. Our thinking determines our actions, which determine our results. And if we want different results we need to change our thinking. This spring examine your thinking. Let go of any negative beliefs that are holding you back, and replace them with more empowering and positive beliefs. Your situation night not change immediately, but it does change your approach. And a new approach offers new results.

2. Throw away negative words

Our beliefs and thinking are formed by words; and actions are inspired by words. To achieve your dreams, you need make sure that the words you are choosing are inspiring you to take positive action. This process of transformational vocabulary is often used in Neuro-linguistics programming, which uses language to create and promote change. This spring become aware of the words you are consistently choosing and decide to use positive and inspiring words that will help you live your dreams.

3. Let go of negative people

Negative people are like weeds growing in our garden. If our garden is filled with weeds, it will never have room for beautiful flowers. It’s not always possible to get rid of all the negative people in our lives; but if you are only surrounding yourself with negativity it will cast darkness over your life. Look at the people you spend the most time with and decide whether they are bringing sunshine into your life or darkness. One of the most important decisions you make in life is deciding who to spend time with. Choose wisely!

4. Move on from past hurts and disappointments

Don’t let your past, hold you back from your future. When we hold on to past hurts and disappointments, it does not allow room for anything new and better to come into our life. By learning from our mistakes, forgiving those who hurt us and letting go; you are making room for bigger, better and more beautiful things.

5. Face your Fear

When you start something new or let go of something, it is natural to experience fear. However too often we let fear stop us from taking action and moving forward. Fear is often not even real. We let our imaginations create these big scary stories that stop us from doing what we want/ need to do. Acknowledge fear and then decide if you really want your dream or not, and then create a plan that will help you overcome your fear, and take action.
