Love 2 Create Craft Convention

Love 2 Create Craft Convention Our 8th “Love 2 Create” presents 2 days full of crafting. This time we are taking Love 2 Create to the next level. Come and spoil yourself and attend 3 workshops (each 2 hours) presented by experienced/well-known teachers- choose from a list of 29 different crafts such as Mosaic/pewter/scrapbooking/ serviette decoupage/mixed media/encaustic art/decoupage/sugar craft/fabric paint, jewellery making and much much more…You will finish the most beautiful projects.

You will learn the technique of each craft and will finish an item to take home. All materials/instructions/tools are included. Only 10 people per workshop!! All bookings/class info etc are available on our website – www.itzvanallez.co.za.

1 Cheese platter by Karin Gie

Cheese platter boards made from pallets with enamel tin cups painted on it.

2 Encaustic Cross By Ezme Hartman

Create a beautiful abstract artwork with molton wax. Then use the artwork to decorate a wooden cross and cover with resin. Techniques include working with hot wax, painting and working with a craft knife. Applying resin to your project. All materials and equipment will be provided.

3 Transfer Pictures By Cecile Coetzee

Learn the secret of creating a unique art piece to hang on a wall, display or give as a present. Using a paper picture of own choice, learn the technique to transfer picture onto wood with a gel medium. Finish it off with craft paint and stencil effect

4 Scrapbook page By Alinda Whitehorn

Learn various techniques with stencils, texture paste and gesso to create any layout

5 Fine Art By Shonna Steyn

Learn how to produce a stunning art piece with a few strokes of a brush. Variety of Acrylic colours available. For those who want to be a bit more 3 dimensional there will also be beads available to add to your masterpiece.

6 Millefiori Tree By Gina Florentino

A fun delicate feminine mosaic kit including different types of media, namely handmade floral themed millefiori’s and manufactured glass tiles

7 Serviette Decoupage By Amanda Hugo

Learn how to decoupage a box with serviettes

8 Applique Clay Pendant By Leza Botha

10 Button Art By Ezme Hartman

Create a beautiful decor piece, a button monogram on a wooden canvas covered with scrapbook paper . Techniques include dry brush painting, working with a brayer, different glues, using a craft knife. A beautiful nursery or mothers day gift. All materials and equipment will be provided

11 Clay Spoons By Leza Botha

Beginners/Intermediate Decorate a teaspoon while learning how to prepare your clay before curing and how to “stick” polymer clay to foreign objects. Students have choice of colours (2) for covering the spoon. Colour needs to be stipulated at time of booking. Will try and accommodate as far as possible. If not stipulated, what you get is what you work with.

12 Chalk Paint Tray By Cecile Coetzee

Create your own TV-Tray hand-made out of pallet wood, painted with chalk paint using various techniques, use stencils for decoration and finish off with bent knives, forks or spoons for handles.

13 Glo in the dark Moon Owl By Gina Florentino

A fun cheerful owl on a moon mosaic kit including different types of media, namely glow in the dark clay handmade shapes, mirror and manufactured glass tiles

14 Mixed Media Album By Alinda Whitehorn

Recycle old books into precious memories using  alcohol inks, gesso, stencils, stamps, texture paste.

15 Clay Mug By Leza Botha

Beginners/Intermediate Get to know polymer clay. Decorate a mug while learning how to prepare your clay before curing. How to “stick” polymer clay to foreign objects. Shape of mug my differ, depending on availability.

18 Colour Metal By Lee Vorster

Students will learn how to emboss on metal using a variety texture plates and stencils and how to piece a pattern onto a wooden blank. Each student will make 3 hearts to take home

19 Vintage Book Decoupage By Cecile Coetzee

Learn how to change an old book into a masterpiece…using chalk paint, wax, stencils, etc… finish it off with a ribbon bookmark.

21 Clay Pendant and Earings By Leza Botha

With the addition of silver/gold leaf and alcohol ink to translucent polymer clay, you will create the above effect. Please note that although we will use the same colours and leaf the results my differ. The final result depends on the amounts of ink and technique used.

22 Chalk Paint Pine Potstand By Shonna Steyn

Learn how to use chalk paint on wood, sanding and polishing techniques. Various stencils and chalk paint colours are available to create this unique centerpiece for your table

23 Clay Beads/Necklace By Leza Botha

By combining polymer and glitter (or Pearlex Powders) we’ll create this twisty bead and turn it into a lovely necklace. The crystals between the beads will be replaced with silver balls for class purposes.

Love 2 Create Art and Crafts Convention

Love 2 Create logoSpoil yourself and book any 4 workshops per day presented by experienced and well known teachers. Over 25 crafts to choose from such as glass tile making, foil art, felt decorations, flower making, scrapbooking, serviette decoupage, pewter, mixed media, encaustic art, beading, mosaic, fabric paint, stencil, woodcraft and decoupage to name but a few. You will learn the technique of each craft and will finish an item to take home.

Do you want to start a new craft and can never figure out where to start? We are doing it again for the 6th time… 2 days full of crafting and FUN. Why not come for the day, spoil yourself and attend 4 workshops (each 80 minutes). Choose from a list of 30 different crafts hosted by experienced teachers. Introduce and book together with a friend and you save R99 or book on your own for 2 days and save R99. (Unfortunately you can’t have both options). You will learn while having fun and finish 4 items to take home.

All materials, instructions and tools are included. Only 10 people per workshop allowed and each workshop is 80 minutes long!!

There will be various LUCKY DRAWS taking place throughout event with prizes to the value of R4000!

Joan has taught crafts throughout South Africa and in Europe and because of her extensive knowledge and warm, easy-going manner of teaching there is always a huge demand for her classes and workshops. As well as being an exceptional teacher Joan is herself a very talented crafts person and has produced some beautiful work in calligraphy, pewter, mosaics, origami, fabric painting and stamping, decoupage, gift presentation and paper making.
